John Bruno

Position: Sargent at Arms

John Bruno has an extensive background in Corporate Real Estate.  John held executive positions at Workday (currently), Yahoo, Cadence Design Systems, and Sybase. Over the past 30 years, John was responsible for the management of these company's global real estate portfolios including the management of the facility services and global safety and security for the companies. 

John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Santa Clara University. He is on the Board of Fellows at Santa Clara University and he is on the board of the Pomeroy Center. John is a Founding Member of the Jack McGovern Coats Disease Foundation.  

John and his wife are Jack McGovern's Godparents and reside in their hometown of San Francisco.  John and his wife have two adult children and one grandson, all of whom reside in San Francisco.

    • Has your doctor treated other patients with Coats’ Disease?

    • What Stage of Coats’ Disease is he/she in?

    • Will his/her vision get worse over time?

    • Will the eye have pain?

    • Will his/her eye start to turn out? Is muscle corrective surgery an option?

    • How likely is glaucoma? (due to retinal detachment)

    • Is there calcification?

    • What is the anticipated disease progression?

    • Is there a thorough vision exam available?
